Company Red Bull GmbH was established in the mid-1980s in Austria. Its founder Dietrich Mateschitz, inspired by functional drinks from the Far East, created a new product category of energy drinks. His first product — Red Bull — is still popular in different parts of the world today. The company employs more than 12,000 employees worldwide.
Red Bull is not just an energy drink. In a sense, this is a way of life. This is also evidenced by the slogan of the company: “We inspire people and their ideas.” The brand forms around itself a community of extraordinary personalities who are passionate about their business, whether it’s a hobby or a job.
In the summer of 2020, the company decided to hold a Red Bull White Nights campaign. The goal was to show the city from different sides through the eyes of bloggers, musicians, athletes, stylists, guides and other people who are in love with the Northern capital. They have prepared 10 night and day routes.
For example, Nikita Marianov, who conquered rivers and canals on a wakeboard, told about the places where athletes, lovers of film photography and Asian cuisine gather; guide Evgeny Kolesnik organized a tour of unusual ceremonial; artist Katya Krasnaya made a selection of locations for connoisseurs of modern art. The action was timed to the start of the white nights

Create a chatbot in Telegram, which will take over the full support of the promotion, confirmation of the locations of participants, as well as the issuance of QR codes to receive free drinks and attend the final party.
We created a linear chatbot in Telegram, with which users could complete an offline quest along the chosen thematic route:
In this project, we combined offline and online spaces: the chatbot gave people the opportunity to travel around the city in a new format, visiting interesting places along the author’s routes. And the “Charging Points” helped to increase the loyalty of the audience to the brand.
The implementation of the technical part of the project took one month. The bot functioned for two months: from May 1 to June 25.

“Red Bull came to us with the idea of developing a Telegram chatbot with unusual functionality: it had to confirm the location of users and give them QR codes. At the same time, the priority was a simple interface and fast implementation of the project. As a result, we created a virtual assistant that functions according to linear logic. The chatbot completely coped with the task and allowed us to automate a large-scale action that united thousands of people and helped them learn more about the city.”
