In order to improve medical literacy and motivate people to undergo examinations in a timely manner, Merck Pharmaceutical company has developed an educational portal I Khow hypertension, where it has collected useful materials about arterial hypertension.
To develop a chatbot for visitors of the I Know hypertension portal, which will help them to undergo prediagnosis of cardiovascular diseases and tell about the risks of high blood pressure;
Launch an educational chatbot for doctors, which will test their knowledge of diseases of the cardiovascular system and give recommendations on prescribing therapy to patients with hypertension.
Patient Chatbot
The mechanics of the chatbot on the I Know Hypertension website resemble the process of gathering medical history during a patient’s first visit to a doctor.
With the assistance of Merck’s specialists, we devised a script for the bot to make it as easy as possible for patients to answer questions. Our aim was to collect comprehensive information for pre-diagnosis and provide a well-informed response about potential risks.
We paid special attention to crafting the bot’s personality. Given that the questionnaire is quite extensive and takes at least five minutes to complete, we wanted to maintain user engagement.
Therefore, Bot Max engages in humor, shares funny GIFs, and cleverly comments on users’ responses during the scenario’s development.
Chatbot for doctors
For specialists, we have developed a website with a test in which cardiologists need to answer questions about how the examination is carried out when checking for the presence of arterial hypertension.
Based on the results of the test, the bot gives recommendations on the appointment of the necessary therapy.
The main thing is that all test materials and questions are compiled not only with the involvement of Merck specialists, but also refer to authoritative research in the field of cardiology.
